What Is Hosting Procurement?

Quite simply, STS will work with you to understand your exact needs and budget to find the right solution for you, whether that is a good shared hosting package with CDN all the way up to multiple dedicated servers. We work your requirements out and find you the best deal for your budget that will satisfy your needs, while at the same time not sacrificing reliability by choosing the cheapest, not neccesarily most reliable hosting service.

How Does It Work?

There are two ways in which you can do this. The first is that you set a budget and requirements, and we do the leg work of finding the host/package for you, then tell you exactly what you need to purchase and who from. We will even give you some help to get setup initially if required.

The second option is that you hire STS to source and manage your hosting for you. With this option, you set your budget and we work to find the solution for you, and purchase it on your behalf and manage all the aspects of that service or services. You only then have to worry about paying STS for your hosting, especially if the solution requires multiple parts or companies.

How Much?

If you choose the first option where you pay for all your hosting charges yourself, then it only costs £30 per hour of consultancy time required. An average site can be around the 2 hour mark for finding a solution.

The second option is much more complex and depends totally on your requirements and budget. We generally will charge £50 for an initial consultation to get your needs and budget captured and understand your project/website, then we work out from there what your hosting costs will be and, most importantly, make sure you are happy with the solution!
