Server Migration
If you’re in need of a new home for whatever reason, whether that be outgrowing your old host or just being plain unhappy with them, then get your server moved. It’s not always an easy task, so it’s always a good idea to get someone that knows what to do to sort you out, that’s where we come in!
We can move you onto your new provider and, where possible, we can retain the same setup configuration. We will also move up to 5 of your existing websites for you and manage the whole transition process, which quite often can be a challenging process that can cause data loss or for your site to appear down to users. How It Works
You sign up for the service or contact us. We generally need the following information, but don’t fear if you don’t have it all, we can help guide you through this stage:
- Suitable access details to old service/server
- Details of the old providers setup – eg Cpanel, Plesk, custom etc
- Root access to new server or account access to setup the server
- Domains of sites to move (or Cpanel account names if preferred)
- Any relevant DNS details that may be needed
We setup the server then move up to 5 of your sites (a Cpanel account if moving Cpanel to Cpanel counts as one site even if it has multiple addon domains under it) and then switch DNS over correctly with minimum dowtime (ideally none!)
Thats Great, But I Am On Shared Hosting?
No problems, we can do this for up to 5 sites with this. Alternatively look at our other Services, because it may be cheaper to hire us to setup your server and seperately migrate your sites if you only have one or two to move.
How Do I Order And How Much?
Migrating 1 server and up to 5 sites (1 domain generally equals 1 site) costs only £150! If you have more than 5 sites, please do contact us for a quote that could save you money!
